Terms and Conditions for DevPluxe

1. Acceptance of Terms

By registering for an account, participating in a hackathon, or otherwise using the DevPluxe platform, you signify your agreement to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use our services.

2. Eligibility

Participants must meet the eligibility criteria specified for each hackathon. Generally, users must be of legal age in South Africa or have parental/guardian consent. DevPluxe reserves the right to verify eligibility.

3. User Accounts

To access certain features of the platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
• Maintain the security of your password and identification.
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
• Notify DevPluxe immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Hackathon Participation

• Submission of Projects: All projects submitted to hackathons must be original work or properly attributed. Participants retain intellectual property rights to their submissions, unless otherwise specified by individual hackathon rules.
• Conduct: Participants are expected to engage in a respectful and collaborative manner. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or unethical conduct will result in immediate disqualification and potential account termination.
• Rules: Each hackathon may have specific rules and guidelines. Participants are responsible for understanding and adhering to these rules.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the DevPluxe website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of DevPluxe or its content suppliers and protected by South African and international copyright laws. Participants retain ownership of their hackathon project submissions, subject to any specific hackathon rules regarding intellectual property.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

DevPluxe provides its platform and services "as is" and without any warranty or condition, express, implied or statutory. DevPluxe specifically disclaims any implied warranties of title, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. DevPluxe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses.

7. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa.

8. Changes to Terms

DevPluxe reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of any material changes. Your continued use of the platform after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
